After serving as a Tuskegee Airman during World War II, J. Caulton Mays founded MAYS Printing, known as “Master Printers Since 1946.” Now led by his granddaughter Elizabeth Mays, MAYS is headquartered in downtown Detroit, Michigan, celebrating 78 years of printing, design, publishing, and marketing.

MAYS is a full-service design firm and printing company, producing unique, quality, and affordable obituaries. There are no barriers or budgets that conflict with MAYS providing service to families in need. For decades, MAYS has produced high-profile programs capturing the lives and legacies of public figures such as civil rights activist Rosa Parks, historic boxing champion Joe Lewis, politician and Congressman Louis Stokes, nationally known clergyman Bishop David L. Ellis, entertainers Cuba Gooding Sr., and The Temptations’ front man Dennis Edwards, and business icons Don Barden, Don Davis, and more.
Proximity never discourages us. We also provide services to families outside of Michigan. MAYS can design, print, and ship your programs same day, with nationwide delivery, whether next-day Air (7:00 am) Air, or Ground (some time constraints).
