FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When submitting camera ready artwork to us for printing, we require you send files with these tasks taken into consideration, so that your print order prints well with no error.
General Rule of Thumb All files should be saved CMYK, not RBG
We accept PDF, JPEG, Packaged Zip files, AI, PSD or INDD files. Send files to us exactly the size you are ordering: ex: if you are ordering a 4″ x 6 ” flier, we do not accept a 23 ” x 16 ” file. We need art to be properly sized so there are no scaling/quality issues.
You should build your document to allow 1/8″ beyond the trim on each edge.
Example: A job with a trim size of 8-1/2″x11″ with bleeds would need a document size of 8.75 x 11.25
Catalogs/Booklets/Magazines
All files should have a minimum of 0.125 bleed settings applied during design and all backgrounds used, should extend beyond the final artboard size for clean cutting.
We recommend you send all work with Crop marks (and bleeds 0.125). Crop marks are not mandatory, but they are helpful for you and us, to know exactly where the printing will be cut.
WE PRINT using water and uv based inks
on the high quality paper sourced from mills around the globe Print all of our orders using a 4-colour process, meaning we mix cyan, magenta, yellow and black to print full colour. We do not suggest:
Applying borders on any print job, unless you have a minimum margin of 1 inch.
Ordering UV coating if you wish to write on, UV Coating is not a writing surface.
